Job summary

St Mary’s Hospital in London is seeking an experienced pharmacist to join its paediatric pharmacy team, focusing on stem cell transplantation and advanced paediatric pharmaceutical care.

You will lead clinical pharmacy services for children, support cost-effective prescribing, contribute to guidelines, and train the wider team, while developing haemoglobinopathies gene therapy services.

Qualifications

• Masters Degree in Pharmacy or equivalent.
• Active registration with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC).
• Diploma or MSc in clinical pharmacy practice or equivalent.
• Undertakes continuing professional development (CPD) and maintains a CPD portfolio.
• BOPA SACT passport accreditation or equivalent experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop clinical pharmacy services for paediatrics HAEM and SCT patients.
• Lead services relating to apheresis for stem cell collection.
• Be an expert on pharmaceutical care for children.
• Check and verify systemic anti-cancer treatments (SACT) and conditioning cytotoxic therapies.
• Collaborate with the Senior Lead Paediatrics to develop services.
• Collaborate with other Lead Pharmacists to deliver care to stem cell transplant patients.
• Support and develop cost-effective drug use and quality improvement.
