Locum Consultant Paediatric Nephrologist is sought to deliver outpatient and inpatient nephrology services for RBHSC, Belfast. The role includes clinically leading nephrology care, managing CKD and transplant clinics, and providing outreach services.

The appointee will participate in teaching, research, audits and service development within a regional framework. The post is based at RBHSC with an on-call rota of 1 in 4.2 and close collaboration with transplant and adult nephrology services.

Qualifications

• Full GMC Registration plus a License to Practice
• Paediatric nephrology experience in a centre with acute/chronic renal failure and renal transplantation
• Ability to take full independent responsibility for clinical care
• Ability to organise outpatient priorities and ward duties
• Experience in audit and clinical governance
• Willingness to work flexibly as part of a team
• Teaching and supervising medical students and trainees

Responsabilités

• Provide outpatient and inpatient paediatric nephrology services
• Deliver a 1 in 4.2 on-call rota
• Develop and run renal clinics including CKD and transplant clinics
• Establish outreach clinics to improve local access to care
• Teach and supervise trainees and junior staff
• Participate in multidisciplinary teams and audits
