Job summary

A community-based healthcare provider in Greater London is seeking a Senior Paediatric Audiologist to join their team. This role involves leading clinics and performing specialised audiological assessments for children aged 6 months to 18 years. The ideal candidate should have at least 2 years of experience and a relevant qualification in audiology. The position requires effective communication skills and the ability to work with children, including those with special needs. A competitive salary depending on experience will be provided.

Qualifications

  • At least 2 years recent postgraduate experience of paediatric audiological assessment within the NHS.
  • Experience of working with children with special needs and social communication difficulties.
  • Knowledge of the fundamentals of normal child development.

Responsibilities

  • Lead clinics independently and undertake a full range of specialised audiological assessments for children.
  • Maintain empathy and rapport with patients throughout the appointment.
  • Communicate effectively with children and families ensuring that the information is age appropriate.

Skills

Competent at performing a full range of audiological tests on children
Ability to communicate effectively with parents/carers/children
Good interpersonal skills
Ability to use Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel

Education

Relevant BSc/Equivalent and practical qualification
