Qualifications

• Previous experience in a food, beverage or FMCG manufacturing environment.
• Confident with computer systems and production reporting.
• Good understanding of food safety and health & safety practices.

Responsibilities

• Support the Packing Supervisor with daily production planning and packing operations.
• Lead, motivate and develop a team of Packing Operators.
• Ensure all health & safety and food safety checks are completed accurately and on time.
• Maintain compliance with BRC, GMP and customer audit standards.
• Monitor, record and communicate production data effectively.
• Contribute to continuous improvement and efficiency projects.
• Manage yields, waste and departmental costs.
• Deputise for the Packing Supervisor when required.

Packing Senior Operator – Location: Dunstable / Luton Area – Salary: £30,000 - £32,000 per annum + Overtime + Benefits – Hours: Rotating Shifts (Monday - Friday) – Shift Times: 06:00‑14:00, 13:45‑23:45

Siamo Recruitment is proud to be working with a well‑established, family‑run multinational business. We are seeking an experienced Packing Senior Operator to join their production team. This is a hands‑on leadership role, best suited to someone who is proactive, well organised and confident in leading small teams within a food production environment. You will support the day‑to‑day running of the packing department, maintain high quality and safety standards while ensuring production targets are met.

Key Responsibilities

• Support the Packing Supervisor with daily production planning and packing operations.
• Lead, motivate and develop a team of Packing Operators.
• Ensure all health & safety and food safety checks are completed accurately and on time.

Essential Experience & Skills

• Previous experience in a food, beverage or FMCG manufacturing environment.
• Strong team leadership, communication and problem‑solving abilities.
• Confident with computer systems and production reporting.
• Good understanding of food safety and health & safety practices.

Desirable Experience

• Experience with BRC standards and customer audits.
• Familiarity with SAP or similar ERP/MRP systems.
• Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing / process improvement.
• Experience with stock control systems.
