A leading insurance company based in Leeds is seeking a skilled Pricing Analyst to join their Commercial Packages Pricing team. The role requires a minimum of 3 years in an insurance pricing environment, strong analytical skills, and a degree in a numerate subject. You will be part of the Commercial Packages Pricing team, which is responsible for pricing of products such as Landlord, Small and Medium Enterprises, and Tradesperson insurance.
You will be reporting to the Projects Pricing Manager and will be involved in a broad range of Packages Pricing activities, including:
Develop knowledge of pricing and underwriting systems and processes; develop your business, market knowledge and awareness of relevant industry issues which impact your area & incorporate in the work that you do.
Create innovative and technical pricing solutions which contribute to the product and portfolio success as well as building capability in increasing the efficiency and accuracy of delivery.
Identify, manage and deliver specific tasks and projects in a pro-active, timely and accurate manner, providing insights, impacts and recommendations.
Enhance monitoring tools to understand the performance of the products and mix changes.
Contribute towards upskilling and the wider development of skills across the pricing and underwriting department.
Ensure that pricing controls are followed with respect to rate testing, implementation and adherence to the wider company risk and control appetite.
Identify, own and manage the risks involved in running our business appropriately to this role, in line with the company risk framework. Communicate to peers and team managers in a timely manner where you have discovered price, model or data issues and suggest appropriate remedial actions
Ensure compliance with core Direct Line Policies, statutory and regulatory requirements, governance controls (including all relevant risk minimum standards) and timely completion of risk and audit actions.
Reinforce the culture and values of Direct Line through appropriate behaviours and actions.
This role is based in either Leeds or London, and you will be attached to one of our offices depending on your location. Our hybrid model offers a \"best of both worlds\" approach. When you\'ll be in the office depends on your role and team, but colleagues spend at least 2 days a week in the office
A minimum of 3 years insurance experience working within an insurance pricing environment
Skills in the analysis & interpretation of data and building relationships with key stakeholders across the business.
Degree in a numerate subject (e.g. Maths, Statistics, Economics, Operational Research);
Expertise in different types of pricing and data handling software is desirable, especially Radar, Emblem, Alteryx and Tableau.
