Allianz UK is seeking a Senior Underwriter for our London office to drive and underwrite large and complex Property & Casualty business. The role emphasizes strong technical underwriting, broker relationship development, and collaborative cross‑department work to grow key accounts.

You will lead high-value cases, negotiate effectively, and act as a senior authority within the Allianz Commercial family while thriving in a hybrid work environment.

Qualifications

• ACII qualified or progression towards ACII
• Outstanding technical underwriting skills in commercial property and casualty writing >£500k business
• Proven track record of dealing with large and/or complex risks
• Strong leadership capabilities
• Excellent trading and negotiation with large cases
• Strong ability to build, develop and maintain broker relationships
• Ability to meet tight deadlines with a positive attitude
• Team player with supportive approach
• Confident and engaging communication to influence others
• Proficient in MS Word, Excel and Outlook

Responsibilities

• Underwrite key accounts in Property and Casualty with focus on large/complex risks
• Drive intelligent new business growth and broker engagement
• Build and develop broker relationships and provide excellent service
• Collaborate across Allianz Commercial to create opportunities for large corporate clients
• Act as senior authority holder within the business
• Represent Allianz in the local market with face‑to‑face broker/end-customer engagement
