Job summary

TYF is recruiting a Senior Outdoor Instructor for a fixed-term Mar–Oct 2027. The role leads high-quality sessions across land and water activities, with responsibility for staff training, equipment stores and programme development.

A hands-on leadership position focused on mentoring, safety and continuous improvement. Applicants should have significant outdoor instruction experience, strong group management and excellent judgement under pressure, plus relevant boating and safety qualifications.

Qualifications

• Full UK Driving Licence required.
• Three or more of the listed qualifications are desirable for the role.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality outdoor sessions across land and water activities.
• Lead by example and maintain high instructional standards.
• Mentor instructors and assist with staff development.
• Support day-to-day operation of the outdoor centre and equipment controls.
