Job Summary

Join our Rushcliffe Community Therapy Service as an Occupational Therapist in the community. Work collaboratively with physiotherapists, assistant practitioners, support staff, district nurses, specialist nurses and social workers to deliver high‑quality care to service users in their own homes. The service is moving toward a 7‑day cover from 08:00 to 20:00 on a rota basis. Self‑rostering is encouraged.

Main Duties

Provide clinical triage, rehabilitation, falls management, palliative care support and facilitate timely discharges from our acute Trust partners. Work autonomously and as part of a multidisciplinary team, liaising closely with health and social care colleagues to coordinate services, promote recovery and enable health, wellbeing and self‑care. The role involves community visits, cross‑site work and may require travel to patients’ homes.

  • Formal mentor qualification and clinical supervisor training.

Experience (Essential)

Contractual Requirements (Essential)

Contract Information

Permanent, band 6, part‑time. Salary £38,682 to £46,580 per annum (pro rata for part‑time). Working pattern: part‑time with flexible 7‑day coverage. Reference number: 186‑1422‑25‑GH. Application Information

Applicants must pay for their DBS check (£26.40 standard or £54.40 enhanced). Costs are deducted from salary over the first two months. Applicants are encouraged to enrol in the DBS Update Service (€£16 per year).

Disclosure and Barring Service check required. DBS (CRB) checks are consistent with the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (Exceptions Order) 1975.
