Experis is recruiting a Senior OT Cyber Security Consultant for home-based work across the UK. You will lead client engagements from day one, performing OT risk assessments on site and guiding security improvements for industrial clients across sectors.

Responsibilities include site surveys in ICS/SCADA/DCS, building roadmaps, and applying IEC 62443, NCSC CAF and NIST SP 800-82 standards. There is potential collaboration with an in-house engineering team for countermeasures.

Qualifications

• Experience leading OT cyber risk assessments.
• Solid grounding in OT security: PLCs, RTUs, SCADA, DCS.
• Experience in at least one industrial sector (energy, water, chemicals, oil/gas, manufacturing).
• Ability to lead client engagements and act as on-site expert.
• Clear, accurate report writing and attention to detail.

Senior OT Cyber Security Consultant

£70,000 to £90,000 | Home-based, UK-wide | Permanent

We're hiring for a specialist industrial cyber security consultancy that works with critical national infrastructure and manufacturing clients across the UK and abroad. They have more work than people, so this is a senior hire to lead client engagements from day one.

What you'll be doing

• Leading OT cyber risk assessments on client sites, which is around 80% of the role
• Carrying out site surveys across **ICS, SCADA, DCS** and wider OT environments
• Building improvement roadmaps and security programmes to move clients from low maturity to a secure, resilient state
• Applying standards such as IEC 62443, NCSC CAF, NIST SP 800-82 and HSE OG86 to real industrial environments
• Working with the sales team on follow-on opportunities and proposals
• Getting involved in implementing countermeasures if you want to (optional, as there's an in-house engineering team)

What you'll need

• Experience leading OT cyber risk assessments, not just taking part in them
• Ideally, consultancy experience. Strong end-user candidates from CNI sites will also be considered
• A solid grounding in OT security: PLCs, RTUs, SCADA, DCS, industrial protocols, network security and countermeasures
• Experience in at least one industrial sector, such as energy, water, chemicals, oil and gas or manufacturing
• The confidence to lead client engagements and act as the expert on site
• Clear, accurate report writing and close attention to detail

Nice to have

• IEC 62443 experience or certifications (fully funded training is provided if not)
• CISSP, CySA+ or NCSC Chartered status

The package

• £70,000 to £90,000 depending on experience
• 5% of salary towards training and certifications each year
• Salary reviews every six months, with a clear skills matrix for progression
• Home-based, with site visits once or twice a month (usually 3 to 5 days, scheduled within working hours where possible)
