Job summary

Derbyshire Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust in Ripley, Derbyshire, is seeking a Band 6 Occupational Therapist to join our community mental health team. You will provide specialist assessments and develop OT treatment plans for adults with a range of mental health conditions.

You will work within a multidisciplinary team, using MOHO assessments and contributing to service development and IPS initiatives while supporting student placements and staff development.

Qualifications

• BSc Honours in Occupational Therapy or equivalent.
• Current HCPC registration.
• Portfolio evidence of CPD, reflection, self-motivation, team leadership skills and EBP.
• Knowledge of research techniques and experience of clinical audit.

Responsibilities

• Provide specialist OT clinical advice on assessment and intervention of clients’ occupational and functional needs.
• Manage a caseload using OT evidence-based, client-centred recovery principles.
• Assessment and prescription of assistive equipment as required.
• Develop collaborative partnership with external partners within neighbourhood including CCGs, voluntary sector, social care and education.
• Support and develop student placements and newly qualified OTs on our preceptorship programme.
