Job summary

NELFT NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a senior occupational therapist to join the CYP ARFID service, part of a newly commissioned pathway that links with the core CYP community eating disorder service.

You will contribute to establishing the team as a centre of excellence for ARFID, delivering specialist OT assessments and interventions for children and young people while working closely with MDT colleagues.

Qualifications

• Diploma/Degree in Occupational Therapy.
• HCPC registration.
• BAOT membership.
• Evidence of Continuing Professional Development.
• 3 years post-registration experience as an Occupational Therapist.
• Minimum 2 years post-registration experience in paediatric OT.
• MDT supervisory and appraisal skills of junior staff.
• Audit/research experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide high standard OT service to NELFT CYP ARFID service.
• Defined caseload with autonomous work and MDT support.
• Conduct functional assessments and deliver targeted interventions.
• Plan, coordinate and evaluate OT input to the CYP ARFID team.
• Manage workload, meet deadlines, work across multiple sites with good communication.
