Job summary

Jarrodean Healthcare Recruitment seeks suitably experienced Orthopaedic Practitioners or Registered Nurses to join the Orthopaedic Outpatient team at the major health facility on Guernsey. Essential British Casting Certificate and recent casting experience are required.

The role reports to the Outpatient Manager and involves managing the plaster room staff, delivering the casting/splinting service, and performing skilled cast and brace applications/removals including complex theatre cases.

Qualifications

• British Casting Certificate is essential.
• Registered Nurse or experienced Orthopaedic Practitioner required.
• Current or recent Casting role experience is essential.

Responsibilities

• Take management responsibility for plaster room staff daily.
• Deliver casting/splinting service across a wide patient group.
• Apply and remove casts/braces, including complex theatre applications (e.g. scoliosis jackets, hip spicas).
