A leading IT consultancy in London is seeking an Oracle Infrastructure Engineer to design, deploy, and manage cloud solutions. This role requires expertise in Oracle technologies across major cloud environments. The ideal candidate will have a background in networking, databases, and modern infrastructure practices, along with strong communication skills. The position supports hybrid working arrangements, promoting work-life balance and flexible hours.
Oracle’s transformation into a cloud business and their key differentiation as a provider of Enterprise grade public cloud is driving significant growth in the UK and European IT Services sector. Capgemini has a demand for high quality consulting resources to respond to the opportunities being generated by this growth.
As the largest Independent Oracle Consulting Practice in the UK, Capgemini is at the forefront of delivering innovative solutions, and we understand that one of the keys to our success is the ability for our consultants to articulate the benefits, approach and strategies for Cloud adoption and evolution. We are looking for Oracle Infrastructure Engineers to work hands‑on with Oracle’s IaaS and PaaS products in exciting and dynamic project environments.
We want to make sure that we find the right people to work in our teams, and we know that working full‑time isn’t necessarily right for everyone, so we’d love to hear from you if you feel you’re a great fit for this role and would like to work flexibly. As an example, some of our team members work four days a week, but travel across the UK during their working days. If you are the right person for this role, we’ll find the right working approach for you.
Hybrid working: The places that you work from day to day will vary according to your role, your needs, and those of the business; it will be a blend of Company offices, client sites, and your home; noting that you will be unable to work at home 100% of the time.
If you are successfully offered this position, you will go through a series of pre‑employment checks, including:
identity, nationality (single or dual) or immigration status, employment history going back 3 continuous years, and unspent criminal record check (known as Disclosure and Barring Service)
You will continue to develop your expertise in the Capgemini’s UK Oracle Practice in one or more specific technologies, with the opportunity to progress to technical SME roles and beyond into architecture or project management.
You will take a hands‑on role on our complex Oracle Cloud implementations, working with Oracle’s OCI and PaaS products, as well as other vendors from all market areas. This will include working with Oracle’s e‑Business suite, SOA and OBIEE product sets to initially support a large‑scale data centre to cloud migration but leading to other Oracle based work in the future.
You can bring your whole self to work. At Capgemini building an inclusive future is part of everyday life and will be part of your working reality. We have built a representative and welcoming environment, for everyone.
To be successfully appointed to this role you will need to undergo Baseline Personnel Security Standard checks.
There are no nationality or residency restrictions, although if you have resided outside of the UK within the last 3 years, further checks may be required.
There are other criteria and checks required for BPSS, and throughout the recruitment process, you will be asked questions about your security clearance eligibility such as, but not limited to, country of residence and nationality.
You will be encouraged to have a positive work‑life balance. Our hybrid‑first way of working means we embed hybrid working in all that we do and make flexible working arrangements the day‑to‑day reality for our people. All UK employees are eligible to request flexible working arrangements.
You will be joining one of the World’s Most Ethical Companies®, as recognised by Ethisphere® for 12 consecutive years. We live our values by making ethical business choices every day. Working ethically is at the centre of our culture at Capgemini, meaning you will be helping to create a future we can all be proud of.
