Job summary

Stantec is seeking a Senior/Principal Transport Planner to join our South West Transport Planning team in Taunton, Exeter or Bristol. You will deliver a diverse portfolio of projects, mentor junior staff, and work with clients and authorities across the region.

The role requires a degree in transportation, geography, or engineering, strong UK planning knowledge, and experience with Transport Assessments, Travel Plans and junction modelling. A professional qualification such as TPP is encouraged.

Qualifications

• Degree in transportation, geography, engineering or related discipline.
• Strong understanding of the UK planning system.
• Experience preparing Transport Assessments and Travel Plans with junction modelling/analysis skills.
• Strong numerical ability & experience managing project budgets and quality.
• Working towards or keen to achieve a professional qualification such as TPP.

The Role

We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Senior / Principal Transport Planner to join our South West Transport Planning team on a permanent basis, based in Taunton, Exeter or Bristol. You'll be joining a well-established and collaborative team delivering a diverse portfolio of projects across the South West, with excellent access to vibrant city centres, beautiful countryside and stunning coastlines. We are fortunate to work with excellent clients on some of the region's most exciting development and infrastructure schemes, including major strategic land development proposals, infrastructure delivery projects and public sector commissions. This role offers the opportunity to contribute to high-profile projects while developing your career within a supportive, multi-disciplinary environment.

Key responsibilities include:

• Supporting the technical delivery of transportation projects
