WSP in the UK & Ireland is seeking a Senior or Principal Consultant to join our air quality team on nationally important projects. You will lead and deliver complex air quality assessments, managing projects and client relationships across a diverse portfolio.

You will contribute to the continuous improvement of technical methods, QA/QC procedures and bid submissions, with opportunities for chartership and mentoring within a 200+ strong air quality team.

Qualificações

• Degree in Environmental Science, Atmospheric Science, Chemistry, Physics, Geography or engineering.
• Experience delivering air quality projects for public or private sector clients.
• Line management or mentoring experience.
• Experience contributing to bids, proposals and tender submissions.
• Excellent report writing and communication skills.
• Chartered status or progress towards chartership with a relevant institution.

Due to continued growth, we are looking for a talented Senior or Principal Consultant to join our team. This is an opportunity to work with recognised technical experts on nationally important projects while helping shape the future growth of our air quality services.

You will play a leading role in the delivery and management of air quality projects, providing technical excellence, client leadership and commercial awareness across a diverse portfolio of work.

• Lead and deliver complex air quality assessments and technical advisory projects.
• Manage project teams, programmes and budgets to ensure high-quality and commercially successful delivery.
• Develop strong relationships with clients and multidisciplinary teams across WSP.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of technical methods, tools and quality systems.
• Apply and promote robust quality assurance and quality control (QA/QC) procedures across all aspects of project delivery.
• Identify opportunities for repeat and new business with existing and prospective clients.
• Prepare high-quality proposals, fee submissions and tender responses.
• Support business development activities, contributing to work-winning and growth initiatives.
• Build and maintain a strong professional network within the air quality sector.

YOUR TEAM

Following the recent acquisition of Ricardo by WSP, our world-class air quality team now exceeds 200 air quality professionals. You will be working on a wide range of projects including major infrastructure and energy projects of national significance, and strategic projects in the UK, Middle East and Asia, developing policy-support tools and analysis for national, regional and local governments, international finance institutions, and the private sector.

You're a great fit for this role if you have:

• A degree (BSc or above) in Environmental Science, Atmospheric Science, Chemistry, Physics, Geography, Engineering or another relevant scientific discipline.
• Experience working within an air quality consultancy, research organisation, academic institution or related technical environment.
• Demonstrable experience delivering air quality projects for public or private sector clients.
• Line management or mentoring experience.
• Experience contributing to successful bids, proposals and tender submissions.
• Excellent report writing and communication skills.
• Chartered status or progress towards chartership with an appropriate professional institution.
