Our experimentation programme goes beyond CRO. We are an experienced Experimentation Team running a mature programme of testing within a large-scale Product Organisation, influencing millions of customers and delivering multi-million pound revenue and profit gains. As part of the broader Analytics function, the Experimentation Team plays a central role in shaping customer experiences across Tesco's websites, apps, and digital platforms. We use data-driven experimentation to uncover insights, validate ideas, and drive continuous improvement across all touchpoints. This role sits within the Analytics & Optimisation team in Tesco Retail Media, a fast-growing area partnered closely with our Technology teams. The team supports a wide range of digital products—from online and app experiences to Marketplace and in‑store digital entities. Our mission is to deliver innovative, customer‑first propositions that also drive advertiser value. As Senior Optimisation Manager, you'll lead experimentation efforts that improve user experience and media performance. You'll collaborate with Product, UX, Engineering, and Analytics teams to identify opportunities, design robust tests, and communicate results that influence strategic decisions. You'll also help evolve our optimisation practices, leading to the development of new strategies, frameworks, and processes that embed experimentation into the heart of our digital roadmap. #LI-RD1 You will be responsible for:

Responsibilities
  • Champion the customer across all projects and initiatives
  • Lead end-to-end optimisation and experimentation, using Adobe Analytics and other insights to design, run, and analyse MV/A/B tests
  • Drive recommendations to enhance Media performance and customer experience
  • Collaborate with UX, Product, and cross‑functional teams to build strong hypotheses and shape the product roadmap
  • Partner with Analysts to present test results in a clear, engaging format with actionable recommendations
  • Contribute and lead on experimentation strategy, roadmaps, and maturity by exploring new processes and expanding into new business areas
  • Uphold Tesco's Business Code of Conduct with integrity and due diligence

Qualifications
  • Proven success in managing experimentation to drive commercial performance and customer insightStrong customer focus and passion for delivering excellent user experiences
  • Experience in innovation and challenging the status quo
  • Proficiency in testing platforms (e.g., Optimizely, Leanplum) and data analysis across multiple sources
  • Advanced understanding of experimental design and statistics
  • Effective communicator with strong presentation and stakeholder management skills
  • Relevant experience or a degree (2:1 or higher) in a quantitative discipline
  • Online media experience is a plus but not essential
