Teledyne Technologies Incorporated seeks a Senior Optical Test Engineer to join the Test Engineering team at the St Asaph site in the UK. The role supports New Product Introduction, sustains production, and drives improvements across optical test processes and equipment.

You will collaborate with Optical Design, Manufacturing, Quality and Operations to ensure products meet performance, quality and regulatory standards in a high-reliability environment.

Qualifikationen

• Degree (or equivalent) in Physics, Optical Engineering, Photonics, or related discipline.
• Experience in optical testing or metrology within manufacturing.
• Strong understanding of optical principles and tolerancing.

Aufgaben

• Develop, execute, and maintain optical test methods and procedures.
• Provide hands-on test support to NPI and production, including fault finding and corrective action.
• Own and improve optical test equipment, including calibration and obsolescence management.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives such as test time reduction and yield improvement.
• Interface with Operations to identify and mitigate test-related risks.
• Generate and maintain technical documentation, test reports, and compliance evidence.
• Ensure all test activities comply with procedures, Health & Safety, and regulatory requirements.
• Mentor junior engineers and technicians within the test function.
