Job summary

REM Associates Ltd. is seeking a Senior Operations Manager to lead a large food retailer's distribution operation. You will plan all distribution activities, drive efficiency, and ensure service levels meet strategic KPIs while controlling costs.

The role requires graduate calibre candidates with 6+ years FMCG experience, overseeing 3 shift managers and around 100 warehouse staff, with a strong focus on safety and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

• Plan all distribution operations to improve service and reduce cost.
• Ensure delivery of KPIs through core processes and continuous improvement.
• Maximise operation performance by directing daily, weekly and monthly activities.
• Provide leadership, motivation, training and development of the team to meet customer requirements.
• Manage 3 warehouse shift managers and 100 warehouse staff.
• Achieve operational performance as defined by KPIs and target budgets.
• Meet personal development objectives and Health and Safety standards.

Reporting to The General Manager the Senior operations manager will be;

A large retailer in Food is now looking for a Senior Operations Manager of a graduate caliber and have at least 6 years experience gained within a FMCG background.

200,000 square foot warehouse.

Budget control 10 million.

Job role

• To effectively plan all distribution operations on behalf of retailer to continually strive to improve service and reduce cost.
• To ensure delivery of Key Performance Indicators through management of core processes and driving continuous improvement through efficient use of the companies’ physical and human assets.
• To maximise the performance of the operation by directing the daily, weekly and monthly activities.
• Providing leadership, motivation, training and development of the team, delivering against customer requirements, and operational performance.
• 3 warehouse shift managers, 100 warehouse staff;
• Achievement of operational performance as defined by KPIs.
• Achievement of overall Distribution budget.
• Achievement of personal development objectives.
• Achievement of Health and Safety direct.
