Job summary

Futures in South Wales is seeking an experienced Head of Operations to lead manufacturing and engineering performance across the site. You will deliver transformational change, drive continuous improvement and develop a high‑performing leadership team to support growth.

Reporting to the site leadership, you will shape operational strategy, optimise safety, quality and delivery, and partner with engineering to deliver CAPEX initiatives and major site projects.

Qualifications

• Senior leadership experience within manufacturing/operations.
• Experience delivering transformation and change management programmes.
• Experience improving manufacturing performance through Lean, CI or Operational Excellence.
• Strong people leadership with development of teams and future leaders.
• Strategic capability with hands-on operational delivery.
• Degree in Engineering, Business Management, Operations Management or related discipline.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop manufacturing and operational teams in a fast-paced environment.
• Drive transformational change and continuous improvement across the operation.
• Collaborate with Engineering on strategy, reliability, CAPEX and major site projects.
• Develop and deliver operational strategies aligned with business objectives.
• Improve Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost and People performance.
• Identify opportunities to improve productivity, efficiency, OEE and overall manufacturing performance.
• Lead significant change programmes and embed sustainable improvements.
• Develop leadership capability and succession planning.
• Collaborate with senior stakeholders across site and organisation.
