Job summary

FCC Environment is seeking an Operations Manager for the Eastcroft Energy from Waste facility in Nottinghamshire. You will lead the operations team, ensure safe, compliant, and efficient plant performance, and drive health, safety and environmental standards across the site.

This full-time role offers a competitive salary (£65,000–£77,000 per year), a car or car allowance, pension, life insurance, discretionary bonus and ample progression opportunities.

Qualifications

• Minimum HND in an engineering discipline.
• 5+ years of supervisory experience in operations/engineering.
• Detailed knowledge of Health, Safety and Environmental legislation.
• Experience with steam-powered electricity generation and related safety systems.

Responsibilities

• Manage safe, compliant and efficient operation of the Eastcroft EfW facility.
• Implement and maintain FCC Health, Safety and Environmental Management systems.
• Lead site safety forums and review procedures.
• Provide leadership and development to the Operations team.
• Coordinate cross-team collaboration to ensure plant availability and performance.
• Oversee budget development and external technical support as needed.
