TradeStarz, powered by MJP Electrical, is building a national multi-trade platform designed to give self-employed partners the systems, automation, and support required to operate at scale. We already have a strong operational tech stack in place. Now we want to connect and automate it end-to-end, eliminating manual work and enabling rapid expansion across the UK.
Role Purpose
Deliver a fully automated, AI-assisted operational ecosystem by integrating and orchestrating our core platforms, ensuring every lead, job, invoice, and report flows seamlessly with zero manual intervention.
Responsibilities
- Architect a scalable automation layer connecting GoHighLevel, ServiceM8, Burdi, Dext, Xero, Wink Reports, Asana, SharePoint, and voice/AI systems
- Standardise and automate workflows from lead capture to financial reconciliation
- Build reliable API integrations with validation, alerting, and error-recovery logic
- Ensure clean, consistent data with a unified cross-system data model
- Implement monitoring dashboards, logging, and automation health checks
- Document processes and train internal teams for smooth handover and adoption
- Optimise system performance, margin visibility, and national partner scalability
- Collaborate directly with the founder on prioritisation and phased delivery plans
Required Experience
- 4+ years in automation engineering, systems integration, or technical architecture
- Demonstrable success delivering automation across CRM + operations + finance
- Expertise with SaaS API integrations, preferably including: n8n, Make, Zapier, ServiceM8, GoHighLevel, Xero, field operations CRMs
- Strong understanding of data governance, authentication, and security standards
- Ability to design resilient automations with fallbacks and retry logic
- Skilled in mapping business workflows into robust technical solutions
- Excellent documentation, communication, and stakeholder engagement
Nice to Have
- Experience building multi-region infrastructure for scaling operations
- AI voice or conversational automation experience
- Knowledge of construction or field-service operational models
- Familiarity with partner/franchise network enablement

Requirements
- 3+ years' experience in operations, data analytics, or systems automation
- Skilled in workflow tools such as n8n, Zapier, Make, or similar integration platforms
- Experience connecting business tools (ServiceM8, Xero, CRMs, reporting systems)
- Strong Excel and data analysis ability — able to clean, interpret, and visualise data
- Some understanding of coding or scripting (JavaScript, Python, or VBA) to support custom automation logic
- Confident building reports in Power BI or Wink Reports
- Exceptional documentation and process-mapping skills
- Excellent communication and collaboration in hybrid / remote teams
- Thrives in a fast‑moving, founder‑led environment — calm under pressure and results‑driven
