Senior Operations Assistant & support to Chief of Staff

Salary: £35,000

Location: Central London

Type: Permanent, 5 days in office

Our client, a boutique professional services firm with a global reach and a top-tier client portfolio, is seeking a Senior Operations Assistant to report directly to the Chief of Staff. This role is ideal for someone highly organised, proactive, and solution-focused, who thrives on keeping things running smoothly and enjoys contributing to a dynamic professional environment – this role really is a jack of all trades position and offers exciting variety.

What You’ll Be Doing
  • Managing the firm’s five meeting rooms and acting as a first point of contact for visitors.
  • Coordinating travel, itineraries, and documentation, including visa arrangements.
  • Managing diaries for senior management.
  • Formatting documents and maintaining professional standards across internal and client-facing materials.
  • Supporting office operations, including health and safety compliance.
  • Tracking MDs’ client activity via CRM systems.
  • Handling expenses and timesheets for senior management.
  • Updating CRM with marketing, business development, and client activity.
  • Assisting the Chief of Staff with onboarding, IT coordination, and project administration.
  • Supporting the preparation of internal and external events.
  • Providing ad hoc support across business areas as needed.

  • Experience in a boutique professional services or operations-focused role (e.g., Office Manager, Team Assistant with operational responsibilities, or Receptionist with added duties).
  • Strong time management skills with the ability to prioritise effectively.
  • Comfortable working in a busy, fast-moving environment.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, confident liaising with senior management.
  • Enjoys working as part of a small, dedicated team.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and CRM systems (Salesforce experience preferred).
