Job summary

Apollo seeks a Principal, Operational Risk to lead the ORM program in London and support regional and global risk initiatives. The role collaborates to deliver innovative risk solutions using data analytics, including AI, and aligns with the firm’s strategic growth priorities.

The candidate will oversee risk governance, develop metrics, and drive training programs across ORM while engaging senior stakeholders and coordinating with EMEA teams.

Qualifications

• 15+ years’ experience in financial services, risk management or related fields.
• Outstanding leadership and ability to influence senior leaders.
• Proactive, organized self-starter with strong attention to detail.
• Advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills; experience with GRC tools (Archer).
• Experience implementing ICARA processes for asset managers.

Responsibilities

• Oversee adherence to the operational risk framework in London and support across the EMEA region.
• Govern the Risk and Control Inventory, Incident and Issue Management, risk reporting and governance.
• Coordinate local risk forums and governance activities; prepare risk materials for governance meetings.
• Contribute to risk strategy, TOM execution and development of risk analytics with business partners.
• Develop and maintain risk training programs aligned with regulatory requirements.
