Job summary

Petroineos Trading Ltd in London is seeking an Senior Operational Risk Analyst to join the Risk Control team. The role focuses on developing and implementing robust operational risk frameworks across Europe, including new business assurance and control testing.

The candidate will manage risk oversight for strategic initiatives, lead RCA style investigations, and produce trader KPI reporting to improve risk visibility and compliance. Hybrid working with office presence in London is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in a relevant field.
• Detailed knowledge of operational risk best practice (Basel II, COSO).
• Experience in energy trading/risk environments and controls.

Responsibilities

• Provide expert advice on operational risk to senior management.
• Develop and maintain operational risk frameworks across Europe.
• Manage New Business Assurance and risk oversight for strategic initiatives.
• Support risk agenda to meet audit/regulatory requirements.
• Design and operate Risk Control Self-Assessment and reporting to Risk Control Committee.
• Investigate incidents and extract learnings to improve controls.
• Produce monthly Trader KPI reports with risk indicators and policy compliance.
• Onboard new starters to risk policies and control requirements.
• Support IT projects with operational risk and control expertise.
