Job summary

Capital.com is seeking a Senior Operational Risk Analyst to join in a group-level role with impact across product, operations, technology and compliance. You will identify, assess and mitigate risks, maintain the risk register and support governance frameworks to stay aligned with regulatory requirements.

You will prepare risk reports for senior leadership and risk committees, collaborating with IT and other teams to enhance controls and resilience.

Qualifications

• Understanding of risk frameworks and methodologies.
• Ideally 5+ years in a 1st/2nd line operational risk role in financial services.
• Experience with operational risk event management across identification, registration, escalation and remediation.
• Familiarity with the Risk and Control Self-Assessment (RCSA).
• Experience using AI tools to automate risk processes.
• Strong written and verbal skills; proficient with Microsoft Office.
• Excellent stakeholder management across risk, compliance and IT.
• Experience in professional services is a plus.
• Professional qualification in IRM/FRM is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide guidance and challenge for identifcation, assessment and documentation of operational risks.
• Analyse internal processes to detect weaknesses and drive improvements.
• Prepare detailed risk reports for senior leadership and regulatory bodies.
• Maintain the risk register with event logging, root-cause analysis and mitigation.
• Support reviews of the operational risk framework to align with best practice and regulation.
