Job summary

A leading engineering firm in Wokingham is seeking a Senior Associate Director Overhead Lines (OHL) to manage high-profile projects in energy transmission. The role requires extensive experience in overhead line design, leadership in engineering teams, and proficiency in industry-standard software. The ideal candidate will foster strong client relationships and uphold safety and quality in design processes, contributing to projects that support the global energy transition.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in OHL design, ideally in UK environments.
• Chartered Engineer or working towards chartership.
• Familiarity with National Grid and DNO standards.

Responsibilities

• Develop engineering drawings and design documentation.
• Lead HV/EHV Overhead Line designs.
• Engage in client design reviews and workshops.

Skills

OHL design experience (132kV–400kV)

Strong communication skills

Ability to manage competing priorities

Technical leadership

Education

Degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Civil, Electrical)
