Salary: Starting Salary is £36,363 (Level 1) rising to £39,152 (Level 4) per annum (pro-rata for part-time)

About the Role

The role is to support the Head of Service and Service Manager for Traffic Management and Moving Traffic Enforcement to deliver an excellent customer-focused Moving Traffic Enforcement service in an efficient, effective and economic manner, whilst adhering to Corporate, Departmental and Government priorities. The role will supervise and undertake Moving Traffic Enforcement and Traffic Management activities in accordance with departmental and service area processes to deliver the Council’s Transportation priorities. To ensure that activities comply with statutory obligations placed on the Authority by legislation and the financial regulations of the City Council. About You
The ideal candidate will have:
  • Experience of ANPR/ CCTV Enforcement skills and a detailed knowledge of transport disciplines to deliver the Council’s Transportation priorities.
  • Able to work with IT systems that process (contraventions) and issue penalty charge notices (PCN's), along with developing existing and new systems to deal with any new powers the City Council undertakes with regards to traffic enforcement.
  • Able to assist in the design, processing and implementation of Traffic Orders related to ANPR/ CCTV Enforcement projects.
  • Excellent communication skills to liaise with other Traffic Management team members, Parking Regulation and Compliance, Civil Enforcement Officers, Highway Network Management, Moving Traffic Software Providers, and other relevant council departments/sections on relevant matters ensuring good interpersonal relationships are developed and maintained
  • To supervise the observation and recording of traffic (contraventions) using ANPR/CCTV and other electronic equipment in accordance with Government legislation and all other enabling powers.
  • To provide technical support/expertise (ANPR/CCTV Enforcement) for the design and management of TM works/ budgets, prepare estimates, reconcile accounts and disputes to deliver value for money for the City Council. To develop innovative and creative solutions to meet service area performance and priorities, and work pro-actively in a multi-functional transportation team environment.

You will be required to complete a full Security Industry Approved (SIA) license for this role.
