A healthcare trust in the UK is looking for a Senior Occupational Therapist to join their inpatient therapy team at Arrowe Park Hospital. This role involves assessing and treating patients, supervising junior staff, and contributing to the training of students. The successful candidate will have opportunities for professional development and support for CPD. We have an exciting opportunity for a senior (band 6) Occupational Therapist to join one of our in-patient therapy teams here at Arrowe Park Hospital.
The team has a shared therapy office and works with the care of the elderly consultants and nursing teams for the benefit of the patients. The team supports activities such as bingo, discos and mocktail events to prevent deconditioning.
The therapy service supports Wirral residents in the right place, at the right time, utilising the community based Home First service and other rehabilitation services available.
There are opportunities to engage in training and development, innovative practice and service development. The service also supports student training and apprenticeships enabling you to contribute to the future of the profession.
You will have professional support for your CPD from Band 7 Therapy Clinical Leads and support from Senior Occupational Therapists from other specialities as required.

If successful in this role, there is a requirement for you to have an enhanced DBS. This will be paid for by the Trust and then deducted from your salary over a period of 3 months.
