Job summary

Lancashire and South Cumbria NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a Senior Occupational Therapist to lead an occupational therapy caseload within the Lancaster and Morecambe Community Mental Health Team. The role involves assessment, formulation, and intervention for clients with complex needs, plus group facilitation and MDT consultancy.

You will work with regular supervision, CPD opportunities, and flexible working arrangements while supporting recovery-focused practice.

Qualifications

• Excellent communication and clinical reasoning skills

Senior Occupational Therapist | Lancashire and South Cumbria NHS Foundation Trust

An opportunity has arisen for an experienced and dynamic Senior Occupational Therapist within our Lancaster and Morecambe Community Mental Health Team. You will be based in Lancaster.

As part of this team you will have an occupational therapy specific caseload. You will provide specialist occupational therapy assessment, formulation and intervention to those with complex occupational, functional or vocational needs and group facilitation. Your role will also involve the provision of support and advice to the multi-disciplinary team through consultancy, to ensure service users occupational needs are considered and met. You will be collaboratively working with our B5 occupational therapist within the team.

We are looking to recruit an occupational therapist who has a keen interest and a passion for occupational therapy in mental health, with at least 2 years post registration experience and 18 months experience in a relevant mental health setting. You will have excellent communication skills, sound clinical reasoning and a strong understanding of the occupational therapy role within recovery.

You will receive regular supervision, access to CPD opportunities and be part of a supportive occupational therapy network.
