JustOT is seeking an autonomous Occupational Therapist to manage a caseload focusing on moving and handling, equipment needs, and adaptations within adult social care. The role is hybrid, with three on-site days and travel around the borough by car or public transport.

Regular supervision for locums is provided, with involvement in team CPD activities. You will collaborate with carers and residents to deliver tailored outcomes and support housing-related assessments.

Formación

• Degree in Occupational Therapy and HCPC registration.
• Minimum 2 years OT experience including major adaptations/DFG.
• Knowledge of safeguarding vulnerable adults and children in social care.

We have a vacancy for a dynamic and autonomous Occupational Therapist to join our OT HUB.

You will manage a caseload of residents with moving and handling, equipment and adaptation needs. Previous experience of working in an adult social care setting is desirable, but transferable skills and experience will be considered.

The role is hybrid with 3 days based on site (either undertaking visits or working from the offices .

Applicants must be able to travel around the borough, either by car or public transport.

Locums are well supported with regular supervision and inclusion in team CPD activities.

Key Duties:

• Enabling people to be safe, maximise their independence and support them to achieve their desired outcomes.
• Carrying out strengths based comprehensive Occupational Therapy assessments and making recommendations to prevent, reduce and delay the need for ongoing care.
• Making recommendations for major and minor adaptations and prescribing assistive equipment.
• Working closely with residents and their formal and informal carers to assess moving and handling needs and implement optimal moving and handling practices.
• Working on the OT Duty desk, processing enquiries, screening incoming referrals & working proactively to address immediate Occupational Therapy needs.
• Supporting and advising our Enabling Independence Officers (OT Level 3 & 4 Trusted Assessors).
• Completing housing reports and void visits.

The successful candidate will have:

• Degree or an equivalent qualification in Occupational Therapy, registered with HCPC
• Experience of Occupational Therapy (minimum 2 years) including major adaptations/DFG processes and complex moving and handling
• Have up to date knowledge of relevant legislation and guidance in relation to working with and safeguarding vulnerable adults and children in social care.Rate: £350 flat rate per closed case.

Definition of Closure: "Closure" is defined as the assessment being completed on the Mosaic system, manager sign-off achieved, and any equipment provided, risk assessed and reviewed, or any major adaptation referral completed.

Expectation: Minimum commitment of 10 completed case closures per month.

Rate: £648 - induction/training payment to be paid after completion of 5 cases
