Position Snapshot

Senior Nutritionist

Gatwick (Hybrid 2-3 times a week in the office)

Salary up to £65,000 depending on experience + 17% car allowance + potential bonus + generous pension scheme + 12 additional flex days on top of 25 day holiday entitlement + 2 paid volunteering days + many other excellent benefits!

Position Summary

We are currently recruiting for a talented individual to join our Nutrition, Health and Wellness (NHW) team as a Senior Nutritionist. You will play a pivotal role in supporting the implementation and roll‑out of our Global NHW strategy in the UK + I market and in particular within our food category. You will ensure compliance with our internal NHW tools and inspire NHW related product development and communication in consumer‑facing initiatives. Your expertise will contribute to and influence our market NHW strategy.

A day in the life of a Senior Nutritionist

Are you ready to make a difference? Your key responsibilities for this role will include:

  • Act as a nutrition partner for category teams, providing strategic nutritional recommendations to influence innovation and renovation in line with our NHW ambition.
  • Conduct nutritional assessments of innovation and renovation against local nutrition criteria eg HFSS, front of pack traffic lights and carry out nutritional benchmarking against competitor products.
  • Ensure all nutrition claims and labels are in line with regulations in UK + Ireland.
  • Keep up to date with industry news and bring insight on external developments on health back to the category.
  • Work closely with cross functional teams including marketing, corporate affairs, technical and regulatory to drive best in class results.
  • Implement NHW strategy by ensuring compliance with global processes, utilising NHW tools and tracking NHW KPIs.
  • Bring nutrition and science‑based insights to inspire innovation and create compelling communication stories.
  • Represent Nestlé in industry forums, establishing connections with Key Opinion Leaders and influencing internal and external policies.
  • Conduct nutritional training and workshops for employees, ensuring knowledge transfer and skill development.
  • Manage product nutrition information and ensure local data tracking and reporting at the category level, maintaining high data quality.
What will make you successful

The successful candidate will have a strong background in nutrition, with at least 8 years of industry experience, with an Association for Nutrition accredited degree and/or is eligible for entry onto the UK Voluntary Register of Nutritionists (UKVRN); or someone who is eligible to apply for registration with the Health & Care Professions Council (HPCP) as a Dietitian.

You will be passionate, tenacious; results focused and enjoy working in a highly energetic and exciting commercial environment. You will need to be highly organised, conscientious and a team player.
