A healthcare organization is seeking a motivated Nursing Assistant to join their team in Grimsby. The role involves providing care to in-patients experiencing acute mental health challenges. Applicants must have at least 18 months of healthcare experience and a commitment to personal development. We are lookingfor an enthusiastic, motivated and flexible Nursing Assistant to join ourestablished team of nursing staff based at Harrison House.
The roleinvolves providing care and support to in-patients currently experiencing acutemental health difficulties requiring an inpatient admission
Commitment tomeeting the needs of people with mental health problems and valuing theirrights is a pre-requisite.
Youwill be required to adopt a flexible working pattern and be committed to selfdevelopment and training. There will be an expectation that applicants willhave completed the Care Certificate, or equivalent, or be in the process ofcompleting this.

The principlerole of the Nursing Assistant is to assist the healthcare team in the provisionand delivery of service user care. This includes taking physical measurementsas delegated by the team, supporting service users in maintaining their healthand wellbeing, undertaking specified and delegated clinical and therapeuticactivities, assist with the provision of clinical care under the supervision ofhealthcare professionals, ensuring high standards are maintained in a safeenvironment, promoting equality and sensitivity for all individuals, assistingregistered professionals in the implementation and evaluation of individualisedcare plans, recording and reporting accurately any changes related to theservice users' current behaviour and/or risks to the nurse/healthcareprofessional in charge in a timely manner, recording care given and reportingomissions accurately and in a timely manner.

The postholder must observereport and record changes in the service users' physical, mental health andbehaviour.
Provide care for serviceusers as planned in multi-disciplinary team meetings.
Be aware of and work to theprinciples of the Mental Health Act (MHA).
Give and receive clearmessages by telephone and or personal contact.
Provide the necessaryphysical care to service users to help them complete daily living activitiesi.e., personal hygiene, diet, fluid intake, clothing, and laundry, maintainingpersonal environment, maintaining rest and sleep, activity, physical observations.
Act in a manner to respectthe service users individuality, values, sexuality, and spiritual beliefs,supporting the individual to fulfil these.
Provide social activities,emotional support, and stability to service users to ensure effectiveengagement whilst maintaining professional boundaries.
Contribute to the assessment,planning and implementation of, and evaluating, Service Users care.
Create and maintainprofessional supportive relationships with all members of staff with otherprofessionals and agencies to enhance recovery.
Provide escort duties to theservice users under the direction of the nurse in charge.
Assist in the collection ofdata for the purpose of audit, research, and service performance.
Contribute to the maintenanceand monitoring of service standards and act as an active team member.
Promote service userinvolvement in all aspects of their care.
Contribute and makesuggestions to the improvement of services.
Identify issues of concern atwork and alerting appropriate personnel.
Present a positive image ofthe team and the service
Carry out observations as perindividual care plans, service users needs, in line with Navigo policy.
To participate in, and whererequired, co-facilitate, therapeutic and social engagement group work.
To undertakeprescribed physical observations as follows: blood pressure, temperature,pulse, respirations, blood sugars, urinalysis, weight and height and reportresults to the nurse in charge
