Job summary

Tops Southsea Nursery in Portsmouth, Hampshire is seeking a Senior Nursery Practitioner to provide high-quality care and education to young children while taking on leadership responsibilities within the nursery. You will serve as a role model to colleagues and help maintain the standards of care and learning in the nursery.

We require extensive nursery experience, solid EYFS knowledge, and a strong safeguarding ethos.

Qualifications

• Minimum Level 3 Early Years qualification required.
• Extensive nursery or childcare experience.
• Solid knowledge of the EYFS.
• Strong safeguarding procedures understanding.

Responsibilities

• Deliver outstanding childcare that promotes safety and development.
• Lead and guide nursery practitioners, assistants, and apprentices.
• Observe progress and maintain records for each child.
• Support the Room Manager or Nursery Manager to ensure smooth operation.
• Tailor activities to meet each child's individual developmental needs.
