Role Details
  • Position: Senior Nursery Practitioner
  • Hours: Full time – 40 hours per week
  • Salary: From £29,000 per annum
  • Location: Jubilee Pavilion, Canadian Avenue, London SE6 4SW

Responsibilities
  • Create a safe and welcoming environment for all children
  • Engage children in entertaining and educational play activities
  • Supervise children during indoor and outdoor play and ensure their safety and security
  • Assist the Room Leader in planning and delivering the bespoke curriculum
  • Communicate regularly with parents, updating them on their child’s progress
  • Use the large green, natural outdoor space to create new adventures and learning experiences
  • Work cooperatively and flexibly as a responsible member of the team
  • Supervise children at meal times and monitor food safety compliance
  • Display children’s work effectively and accurately maintain daily registers
  • Plan a programme of activities for the children following the EYFS framework
  • Take charge of a key‑worker group and inform parents and staff of any relevant information
Qualifications

A qualified, experienced, creative and enthusiastic Senior Nursery Practitioner with a passion for fun, excitement and learning. Applicants must have the right to work in the United Kingdom and will be subject to DBS, reference and social media checks.

The nursery is open five days a week and has been graded Outstanding by Ofsted.
