Job summary

Job Responsibilities
  • Supporting Outpatients Manager as clinical Senior Nurse supporting all junior staff, to cover when Manager not in department or on leave.
  • Flexibility working within time of 08.00 hrs to 20.00 hrs Monday to Friday.
  • To attend Meetings and activities at other sites if required due to operational demand.
  • Develop knowledge and expertise on People Management to support their own development.
  • Responsible for the safe use, inspection, maintenance and security of all goods and equipment, ensuring appropriate stock levels.
  • Review and appraise processes and policies to allow for continuous improvement within the Trust which ensure delivery of best practice.
  • Carry out individual risk assessments and contribute in line with Trust Policy.
  • Implement and conform to Trust and Departmental Infection Control policies and procedures.
  • Take responsibility for own development, knowledge and skills up to date using clinical audit in order to improve the standards of patient care and reflective practice in preparation for ongoing re-validation.
  • To work in other departments or Hospitals to ensure levels of safe staffing are maintained across the Trust.
  • Ensure the privacy, dignity and safety of people is maintained at all times.
  • Demonstrate the ability to recognise changing priorities seeking advice from appropriate staff.
