Job summary

NHS Lanarkshire is seeking a Senior Nursing Leader to act as professional lead for nursing services across the region. The post requires strategic oversight, expert practice, and a drive to improve patient care through governance and education.

The role involves line management when on-call, contributing to service redesign, and partnering with multidisciplinary teams to enhance safety and service quality across NHS Lanarkshire.

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse with valid NMC Registration.
• Knowledge of NHS Scotland Leadership Qualities framework or equivalent.
• Management experience through progression and CPD.
• Extensive knowledge of clinical guidelines and standards.

Responsibilities

• Lead nursing services across NHS Lanarkshire with professional leadership and advisory roles.
• Develop and implement a programme of clinical audit and research within clinical governance.
• Contribute to nursing/service strategy and key partnerships.
• Provide education and support to staff and act as on-call senior manager when required.
