Gold Group is seeking a Senior Safety Engineer for remote work with occasional visits to Plymouth. The role focuses on critical military infrastructure safety projects, ensuring rigorous engineering standards, safety compliance, and robust hazard management.

The candidate should have nuclear industry experience, knowledge of PRA/HAZOP/FMEA, and the ability to work independently while collaborating with multi-disciplinary teams.

Qualifications

• Good communication skills and ability to present clearly.
• Experience in the nuclear industry with reactor design/operations.
• Knowledge of nuclear safety principles, PRA, HAZOP, FMEA.
• Familiarity with safety analysis software and tools.

Responsabilités

• Provide clear reports on risk and opportunities to engineering leads.
• Define and conduct governance meetings.
• Share learnings from other engagements.
• Undertake technical feasibility studies and site investigations.
• Develop detailed safety requirement specifications.
• Support projects through engineering lifecycles.
• Assess project risks and undertake risk management.
• Review project documentation.
• Communicate with project stakeholders.
• Resolve design and development problems.
• Be adaptable to evolving requirements and notify changes.
• Compile and peer review reports.
