So, when it comes to your life outside of work, ask us about our flexible and remote working policies designed to help you get the most out of life.As a Senior Nuclear Safety Engineer in Advanced Engineering Delivery & Consultancy (AEDC), you'll play a vital role in shaping your projects. Working alongside talented colleagues across all disciplines, you'll provide safety case leadership, support and delivery. Working closely with clients, you'll be trusted to develop and implement solutions to solve their most complex problems. Whilst your office base will be in Glasgow, flexibility in work location is a must-from time to time our clients do call on our team to deliver work from their sites.## Your roleWe want you to help us deliver the most significant defence related programmes across the UK. This is an exciting time within the industry, and AtkinsRéalis. This includes the design and construction of new infrastructure, life extensions and upgrades, maintaining ongoing operations, and decommissioning. You will be involved with all aspects of safety case support, including:* Shaping the nuclear safety case strategy.* Working closely with project partners to ensure a safety informed design.* Engaging with stakeholders to facilitate ‘Right First Time’ delivery (incl. designers, client, site, and regulatory body (e.g. DNSR, ONR)).* Undertaking safety assessments and safety analysis (e.g. HAZID, HAZOP, FMEA, HAZAN, etc).* Producing safety reports and other technical documents (e.g. PSR, PCSR, ALARP reports, etc).* Support to Engineering Substantiation activities.* Managing/Leading Safety Case activities and teams.## About you* You have a proven track record in safety, ideally within the defence and nuclear domain, or other highly regulated industries.* You are ready to make the next step in your career and to join a team that will provide opportunities for growth.* You will be hungry to expand your knowledge and experience and, thrive in a stretching but supportive environment.* You will enjoy innovating and problem solving.* You embrace the digital world and be eager to explore how it can be used in the nuclear safety environment.
