Job summary

WSP in the UK is expanding its Environmental Permitting & Nuclear Regulation team, offering Senior Consultant or Principal Consultant roles. You will contribute to nationally significant nuclear projects and support the UK's transition to clean energy.

Qualifications

• Experience in one or more of the following: nuclear regulation, environmental permitting, safety, sustainability and environmental management, radioactive waste management, safety/environmental assessments, environmental monitoring, or safety and environmental cases.

Responsibilities

• Advise reactor vendors, developers and licensees on navigating the UK nuclear regulatory requirements and taking advantage of the Nuclear Regulatory Review.
• Deliver permitting, licensing and consenting of nuclear projects and contribute to investable nuclear projects.
• Develop Environmental Cases and demonstrate the application of Best Available Techniques (BAT) for nuclear operators.
• Support developers and operators to secure compliance with permit and licence requirements and deliver high standards of safety, security and sustainability.
