The Economist is hiring a Senior Audience Editor for newsletters in London on a permanent contract. The role oversees a broad portfolio of nearly 30 titles, guiding content, style and editorial quality while collaborating with Marketing, Product and the wider Economist Group.

You will lead a six-person newsletter team, coordinate across platforms, monitor analytics, and help grow traffic, registrations and subscriptions. Some weekend coverage may be required.

• Commission and gather content across 30 newsletters.
• Edit content to meet style and writing requirements, sign-off processes.
• Assemble and produce in Salesforce Marketing Cloud; send test versions; publish.
• Ensure newsletter intros meet standard journalism quality.
• Work on off-platform products (Substack, LinkedIn) and monitor engagement.
• Lead on platforms/projects; liaise with Marketing and Product teams.
• Potential occasional writing contributions.
