Job description

We are looking for a Senior Network Specialist to be a key member of the Network team within the ELFT Digital Department. The post will act as a lead within the team for network management and support as well as support junior network team members day to day. The post holder is highly technical and provides design, support and advice to the Network Manager and the network team. The post holder is expected to become the knowledge repository or "go-to-person" for network support, maintenance, installation or configuration, and the relevant network management tools or technologies.

The post is a senior technical role in a team of specialist network staff. The role incorporates customer care, vendor relationship management, operations and communications coordination and to foster a collegiate style of working within the team and with other teams within the Digital Department. They will take full ownership of network support issues from identification to resolution, capacity planning, proactive enhancements to the Trust network using recognised standards such as ITIL. For all of these functions, the post holder is expected to understand, meet or exceed their customers’ requirements and have the ability to explain complex network related information, solutions and issues to staff who are not digital specialists.
