Senior Network Engineer - IP Networks

Remote working

Salary: Circa £65,000 – 70,000 plus bonus / benefits

We are looking to bring in a senior network engineer / technical lead to work on a remote basis for an ISP.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee escalated issues on the IP core network in a mixed vendor environment (Cisco, Juniper, Nokia, Adtran)
• Lead migration and upgrade projects, focusing on automation for efficiency
• Provide hands‑on support while maintaining leadership and decision‑making responsibilities (80% technical, 20% leadership)
• Contribute to network resilience through ongoing testing, validation, and capacity management
• Represent the business in discussions with external vendors and suppliers

Required Qualifications

• Minimum CCNP / JNCIP level of experience (CCIE / JNCIE preferred)
• Expert knowledge of MPLS, BGP, OSPF, general IP routing and switching
• Background in high‑level design (HLD) and low‑level design (LLD)
• Experience in an ISP environment with strong troubleshooting skills
• Strong communication skills and ability to work remotely
