OneAdvanced in the United Kingdom is seeking a Senior Network Engineer to join a customer-centric squad. You will design and implement network and security solutions across on-premise, cloud and hybrid environments, aligned with customer architectural teams.

Ideal candidates will operate at CCNP/CCIE level or have equivalent experience. The role emphasizes collaboration with stakeholders, comprehensive documentation, and mentorship of junior engineers, with travel to client sites as required.

The Senior Network Engineer will work as part of a customer centric squad providing project technical resources alongside a multi-disciplined team. Working to scope and deliver solutions alongside the customer architectural team.

You will be comfortable working at CCNP or CCIE level or have the equivalent experience in designing and configuring network and security technologies, covering on-premise, cloud and hybrid network solutions. You will be experienced in delivering technical projects and defining technical direction.

Communication and collaboration are paramount in this role, you will work closely with a variety of internal and external business stakeholders and will be continually engaged and collaborating.

What You Will Do

• Responsibilities include planning, design and implementation for customer site, datacentre and Azure cloud. You will produce customer-facing high quality HLD and LLD documentation.
• Working with customer project managers, architecture and other team members to develop technical solutions.
• Where required, provide technical support and early life support, and take ownership of technical investigations into complex problems, continuing to work on them until a resolution or workaround can be implemented.
• Provide technical input and governance to the problem and update stakeholders at regular intervals as the technical investigation continues.
• Attend relevant customer specific meetings as and where required. Examples may include presenting changes to the change advisory board, providing technical input into low level designs.
• Ensure compliance to relevant standards (i.e. ISO 27001, 9001) and security (i.e. CIS, STIG) to help ensure we control, report and adequately measure and handle risks the customer faces.
• As an effective and highly capable team member, you will self-manage your workload. You will also need to be able to mentor and develop other engineers in the wider technical support teams.
• Author new technical documentation, for example, for new solutions or changes in configuration required to adhere to updated security standards that is structured and relevant to the audience.
• Travel to customer datacentre and customer sites as required (expenses covered).
• Work on other tasks as required to support wider business plans and initiatives.

What You Will Have

• Experience with Cisco ASA, Firepower and Fortigate firewalls, also Nexus and Catalyst switches.
• Experience with Azure networking solutions and integration with traditional WAN/LAN configuration.
• Strong understanding of bothNetwork and Security principlesincluding routing and switching protocols, fabric infrastructure, storage networking.
• Exposure to Cisco Wireless LAN solutions, particularly Meraki.
• In-depth knowledge of network security best practices.
• Be self-motivated, tenacious, disciplined, enthusiastic and resilient
• Excellent communication verbal and written, being able to operate at all levels and articulate messages to a variety of different audiences. Understand people and cultural differences to build good relationships with colleagues.
• Have excellent problem-solving skills and be able to devise and implement strategies beneficial to Advanced and our client.
• Capability to author and update infrastructure, support and proceduraldocumentation.
• Keen willingness tomentor othersin the team and wider department on technologies within your field of expertise.
• Capability to project manage in an informal capacity; able to apply appropriate project methodology to plan, execute and report on work in a structured way, with effective time management skills.
• Ability to multitask and prioritise under pressure
