Senior Network Engineer

Location: Cardiff 2-3 days p/week onsite (hybrid role)

Salary: £51-56k + annual cost‑of‑living increase + standby allowance

Contract: Permanent

The Role

We are looking for an experienced Senior Technical Analyst to join a growing IT team, managing and developing a wide range of network technologies across multiple vendors including Cisco, Palo Alto, ZScaler, Vodafone, and Microsoft.

You’ll work on a mix of project delivery and day‑to‑day support, playing a key role in designing, implementing, and maintaining secure, high‑performing network solutions. It is a hands‑on role, but with the added responsibility of leading projects, mentoring junior engineers, and helping shape the future of the network infrastructure.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Supporting, maintaining, and optimising network infrastructure across multiple platforms
• Leading and delivering network projects end‑to‑end
• Developing automation scripts to improve efficiency and consistency
• Monitoring and resolving network incidents to ensure minimal disruption
• Working closely with architects and security teams to strengthen the network
• Managing vendor relationships and collaborating with internal stakeholders
• Maintaining up‑to‑date documentation and following ITIL‑based processes
• Participating in a 24/7 support rota
