Job summary

A technology company in Stevenage is seeking a Mid-Senior Level Technical Network Designer to support network designs and work closely with Project Managers. The ideal candidate will have significant experience in overseas infrastructure and a demonstrable background in networking. Candidates should also possess strong troubleshooting skills and a solid understanding of customer life cycles. The package includes a salary of up to £78k plus bonuses and allowances.

Qualifications

• Experience in overseas infrastructure and work is essential for this role.
• Demonstrable design experience in proposing and utilizing various technologies.
• Experience in requirements management and associated tooling is required.
• Experience in IP Addressing designs and supporting said design mentioned.
• Strong troubleshooting skills and approach to defect resolution are needed.
• Strong technical networking knowledge with related vendor certifications required.
• Experience in configuring Juniper (SRX, EX), Cisco and Gigamon network products is essential.
• Ability to understand the customer end-to-end lifecycle.
• Excellent communication skills are necessary for working with various teams.

Responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day support to Programme and Project Managers.
• Support the Lead Architect in defining designs in line with requirements.
• Assist Network Design Engineers with delivery and operational challenges.
• Create HLD/LLD components for key areas of the solution.
• Ensure designs produced are fit for purpose.
• Provide input into reports to customers and the Programme as required.
