Qualifications

• Hands-on design, operation, and troubleshooting of complex networks.
• Strong knowledge of WAN and data-centre networking, BGP and multicast.
• Experience in ultra-low latency environments.
• Proficiency in packet analysis, telemetry and structured troubleshooting.
• Familiarity with FPGA-connected network paths.
• Experience mentoring engineers and influencing technical decisions.
• Knowledge of financial market architectures.
• Experience with automation and monitoring using source-controlled configurations.

Responsibilities

• Lead investigations into complex performance, latency, resilience and operational issues.
• Act as a senior technical escalation point for network teams.
• Turn architecture standards into implementation patterns, automation, validation and runbooks.
• Lead or support complex changes, migrations and technical improvement work.
• Evaluate new technologies and improve existing designs and operating practices.
• Implement effective instrumentation and use operational data to identify problems and improvements.
• Mentor engineers and spread knowledge across the function.
