Job summary

A marine engineering firm is seeking an experienced Principal Naval Architect to join their team in Havant. This role requires a degree in Naval Architecture and at least 5 years of experience. The successful candidate will manage engineering activities, ensuring compliance with standards and regulations while working hybrid (3 days on-site, 2 days from home). Competitive salary offered, ranging from £50,000 to £58,000 based on experience.

Qualifications

  • Qualified to degree level with MEng in relevant field.
  • Chartered Engineer or clear route to achieving it.
  • Familiarity with Navy/Classification Society standards.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure dry dockings of ships and conduct stability analysis.
  • Manage complex engineering changes and certifications.
  • Provide technical oversight to naval architects and engineers.
