Job summary

Sanctuary Personnel Ltd in Sidcup, Greater London, seeks a Band 8a Musculoskeletal Physiotherapist with MSK specialization for a 3-month locum. Full-time hours are 08:00-17:30, Monday to Friday, with a Saturday rota and ASAP start. Manage referrals and deliver advanced MSK assessment and treatment within a vibrant MSK service.

Registration with HCPC and CSP is required, along with 3+ years of MSK experience and leadership abilities. RiO system experience, driving licence preferred.

Qualifications

• HCPC registration and CSP registration.
• Minimum 3 years’ experience at a highly specialist MSK level.
• Experience in Extended Scope/Advanced Practice Physiotherapy.
• Track record of managing highly complex MSK caseloads.
• Experience supervising junior staff.
• Experience leading audit and research activities.
• Up-to-date MSK injection therapy and radiology skills.
• Excellent clinical reasoning, leadership and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage a highly complex MSK caseload as an Extended Scope Practitioner.
• Deliver advanced assessment, diagnosis and treatment of MSK conditions.
• Triage referrals and provide specialist clinical decision-making.
• Handle complex pain and MSK presentations.
• Provide expert MSK care within outpatient clinics.
• Interpret radiology investigations when needed.
• Lead service development, audits and governance initiatives.
• Supervise Bands 2-7 staff and support staff.
• Provide specialist advice to GPs and MDTs.
• Support ESP skill development and supervision of students.
• Lead training, mentoring and research projects.
