Job description

Clinical Physiotherapist (MSK) – Kent
The MSK Physiotherapy service provides outpatient MSK services across Kent, operating within four teams covering North Kent, Ashford, Canterbury, Thanet, South Kent Coast and West Kent.

Recruitment Locations
  • North Kent team – Gravesham Community Hospital and Sheppey Community Hospital
  • West Kent team – Churchill Centre (Aylesford), Sevenoaks Hospital and Tonbridge Cottage Hospital
Key Responsibilities
  • Manage a complex caseload of patients and maintain appropriate records under the supervision of a clinical lead physiotherapist.
  • Develop and maintain a good level of skill and knowledge in MSK Physiotherapy.
  • Provide supervision and development of physiotherapy students, apprentices, assistants, band 5s and peers.
  • Involved in service development projects and the running of patient group sessions such as Back Rehabilitation Class, ESCAPE knee class, shoulder class and Pilates.
  • Travel across trust sites in a timely manner; hold a UK driving licence and have access to a vehicle when required.
  • Work both autonomously and as part of a team, being flexible, embracing change and innovation, and working well under pressure.
Working Hours

Full‑time hours are preferred; part‑time hours may be considered with a minimum of 30 hours over 4 days.

Qualifications & Experience
  • Relevant physiotherapy qualification and registration with the HCPC.
  • Experience in musculoskeletal physiotherapy and in managing complex patient caseloads.
  • Experience of supervising or training other physiotherapy staff.
  • Strong communication, organisational and clinical assessment skills.
