Job summary

Ride Shotgun in Leeds is seeking a Senior Motion Designer who crafts compelling brand films and social content, with a strong focus on CGI and VFX and a mindset for AI-assisted workflows.

As a senior member of the in‑house team you will mentor others, collaborate across disciplines, manage fast turnaround projects and uphold the highest quality across cross‑channel campaigns.

The role

As Senior Motion Designer, you are passionate about storytelling through moving image in all forms but with a focus on CGI and VFX, you will also be well versed in using AI tools to improve workflows and enhance the content you produce. You will be confident in delivery of compelling brand films, TVC's and short form social films and as a senior member of the in-house team you will mentor and upskill other members of the team.

You approach the art of motion design with imagination and innovation whilst ensuring the highest quality is met at all times. Our clients and their customers live and breathe a cross channel retail world, it's complex, sometimes confusing and the goal of the motion team is to help enhance their experience.

Key responsibilities

• Input into Smart Production briefs to ensure the right approach is taken based on the brief
• Collaborate with the creative team and use own initiative to deliver work with impact
• Deliver high quality motion assets as efficiently as possible, with a very strong attention to detail
• Help to mentor and develop the post-production department
• Help to source the best quality new freelancers and maintain robust ways of working
• Supporting the wider production team with the development and implementation of solid post-production processes and practices. Be a technical 'go to' for the production team
• Maintain awareness of industry trends and advancements to drive new innovative ways of working
• Maintain a drive to succeed and desire to improve, continually develop and enhance the quality of the work we produce.

Required skills

• A strong, professional and unique portfolio of work showcasing a wide range of projects with a focus on CG animation and mixing production approaches to maximise efficiency and creative output.
• Exceptional knowledge of key Adobe post production software along with Blender, Cinema4D and the latest plugins
• Highly creative and collaborative
• Methodical approach to work with excellent attention to detail
• Excellent time management skills and ability to multitask
• Experience of a wide range of workflows. Excellent organisation and file structure skills for managing projects from project start to delivery, including versioning and rendering, confident delivering across a range of platforms.

Location and working hours

This role will be based from our Leeds office, 9am - 5.30pm, Monday to Friday. Occasional travel to our other offices may be required.
